Cerasuolo d'Abruzzo
Abruzzo is a wine-growing region in central Italy, on the latitude of Rome, but along the Adriatic and south of the Marche. Among the wines of Abruzzo, we can distinguish certain appellations linked to characteristic Italian grape varieties. These include Trebbiano d'Abruzzo, which has been classified as a DOC (Denominazione di Origine Controllata) since 1972.

Trebbiano d'Abruzzo is exclusively a white wine produced in the provinces of Chieti, L'Aquila, Pescara and Teramo. The local Trebbiano grape, also known as Bombino Bianco, can be complemented by other grape varieties. Made from native Trebbiano, Trebbiano d'Abruzzo white wines are remarkably complex and age-worthy.

There's a good reason why Domaine Valentini's Trebbiano d'Abruzzo was voted Italy's best wine in 2007. Without necessarily claiming such a title, Villa Medoro's wine is a perfect example of the qualities of Trebbiano d'Abruzzo.
