A true link between the past and the future, the winegrowing estate of Fonterutoli dominates the slopes of estates and farms. The estate of Fonterutoli combines modernity with the wealth of centuries-old knowledge in a way that only a family member could conceive: Agnese Mazzei.

Designer of an innovative project with low environmental impact, where aesthetics meet functionality; Agnese Mazzei has built a cellar to produce the most natural wines possible. The cellar is immersed 15 meters below ground so as to work solely by gravity and to ensure the best temperature and hydrometry for the proper aging of the wines.

The Fonterutoli terroir is composed of Alberese rock and sandstone. The estate covers 650 hectares, 117 of which are planted with vines. The Fonterutoli vineyards are divided into 120 plots at altitudes ranging from 220 to 550 meters.
