Travignoli
Travignoli is located in the north-east of the Chianti region of Tuscany, 25 km east of Florence. This area, known as Chianti Rufina, benefits from southern exposure, limestone soils and altitudes ranging from 250 to 400m.

The Travignoli vineyard covers 70 hectares planted mainly with Sangiovese (a Tuscan grape variety) but also with Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Chardonnay.

For Travignoli, tradition and innovation are the keys to making great wines. So it's in a 16th-century vaulted cellar that Chianti Rufina, IGT Toscane and Vin Santo del Chianti Rufina are made.

Travignoli has been run by the Busi family, represented by Giovanni Busi, since 1800. In 2011, the Busi family received the "Italia 150" award, recognizing Travignoli's success and longevity as one of the 150 oldest companies in Italy.

With its ruby-red color, this Chianti Rufina has an elegant, gourmand nose, dominated by intense floral aromas. On the palate, the acidity is crisp on the attack, juicy and fresh on the mid-palate. The perfect spring wine!

Travignoli - Busi Chianti Rufina Riserva 2014

3.8/5 (11 reviews)

After 20 months' barrel ageing, Riserva reveals ripe floral aromas. More concentrated, but still with great aromatic elegance, it's a round, well-balanced wine which, given its slightly tight tannins and freshness, will keep for several years.
