Clos de l'Anhel
4/5See the 4 reviews
Sophie Guiraudon, oenologist, after working with other estates, settled in these Corbières lands in 2000. The vineyards of Clos de l'Anhel extends over 12 hectares, situated at the foot of the Alaric mountains, on limestone slopes rising to 300 meters and surrounded by an active biodiversity. Right from the start, Sophie Guiraudon turned to organic farming, using purins and herbal teas. She plants 200 trees and installs nesting boxes for chickadees and bats (major insect predators).
In the cellar, the emphasis is placed above all on the quality of the grapes, so as to intervene as little as possible in the making of the Clos de l'Anhel wines. In short, vibrant, straightforward wines, imbued with their terroir, expressing themselves as freely as possible with the benevolent authority of the winemaker.

Its fruity, straightforward character right from the nose carries us away in a whirlwind of fruit (wild raspberry) and generosity, with supple tannins. A highly fruity cuvée of friends, bursting with energy, and an excellent harbinger of things to come... A fine expression of the Corbières terroir!
