Château de Beaucastel
Château de Beaucastel is one of the leading lights of the Châteauneuf-du-Pape appellation in the southern Rhône Valley, and one of only three estates in the region to vinify all thirteen of the appellation's authorized grape varieties. For three generations, the Perrin family has run the Château de Beaucastel vineyard with talent and passion, on some of the region's finest terroirs. Jean-Pierre and François Perrin are the driving force behind the estate, and a few years ago they also created the remarkable Maison Perrin, which stands out for the quality of its vintages and the recognized consistency of its range.

These two entities are underpinned by the same philosophy: to strive to situate the vine in its universe, i.e. the earth, the animals and the stars whose influence it undergoes. The vineyards of Château de Beaucastel in Châteauneuf-du-Pape are farmed organically, where treatments are kept to a strict minimum and the use of natural compost is predominant, while Maison Perrin's négoce relies on sourcing from the most demanding local producers.

"A splendid cuvée, in the image of its terroir!

"Châteauneuf Du Pape Blanc 2022 is unrivalled in its precision and concentration. Honeyed quince, white flowers, honeysuckle, chalky minerality and toasty spice notes define the aromas. The wine is medium to full-bodied, with lovely mid-palate depth and a remarkable sense of freshness, yet remains rich and textured." (Jeb Dunnuck 2021)

"Superb Côtes du Rhône produced on a very special terroir of rolled pebbles".

"Côtes du Rhône Coudoulet de Beaucastel 2021 is an exceptional vintage. From a vineyard just outside the boundaries of the Châteauneuf-du-Pape appellation, it's a remarkably consistent wine that's always good value for money. The nose reveals scents of sun-scorched stone, black cherry and licorice, complemented by notes of purple raspberry and dark chocolate. The medium- to full-bodied palate is lush and velvety, finishing long and complex." (Wine Advocate 2023)

"A monument!"

"A deep, quite herbaceous expression, marked by notes of licorice, crushed blueberries and blackcurrant. Full-bodied, powerfully fruity, dense and deep. The palate is truly enveloping and the fruit intense. The tannins are ripe, fine and abundant, all saturated with blackberry juice on a long finish. Certainly one of the most successful Châteauneufs of the vintage. It will age well. An expression of Beaucastel dominated by Mourvèdre" (Decanter 2022)

"The freshness on the nose is reminiscent of spring flowers, but on the palate it's fuller and richer than the nose suggests. Broad spectrum of stone-fruit aromas, from white peach to mirabelle plum, including some candied citrus. Pronounced fresh character with a long, silky finish." (James Suckling 2022) This cuvée is a perfect match for pan-fried red mullet fillets. Elegance and gourmandise in a bottle!

Château de Beaucastel - Châteauneuf-du-Pape Roussanne Vieilles Vignes 2017

97-99/100 Robert Parker

"As usual, the 2017 Châteauneuf du Pape Roussanne Vieilles Vignes comes from a three-hectare plot planted in 1909. It's richer, creamier and longer than Beaucastel's traditional white Châteauneuf-du-Pape, but also fresher and saltier. It looks even more impressive than the superb 2016." (Wine Advocate 2018)
