Château Vessière
Visit Château Vessière is a family estate, handed down through several generations and owned by the Teulon family. The 65 hectares of vines are organically farmed to produce straightforward, elegant wines. Today, Philippe Teulon has handed over the reins of the Château Vessière to his son Vincent, who, along with his wife, is involved in the day-to-day running of the estate.

The Costières de Nîmes vineyard is the most southerly in the Rhône Valley, at the gateway to the Camargue. It benefits from a distinctive terroir: a dry, very sunny, Mediterranean-influenced climate, and soils composed of stony alluvium, red clay and terroir pebbles.

Médaille d'Or Concours Paris

-

Cité Hachette

(2015 vintage notes)

This fruity, charming red wine is made from 70% Syrah and 30% Grenache. Its gourmet nose features red fruits, spices and white pepper, as well as subtle roasted and chocolate notes. The palate is generous, with medium-bodied tannins, and finishes fresh with the support of spicy notes. Great value for money!

Château Vessière - Costières de Nîmes Blanc 2018

Médaille d'Or Concours Paris

(Notes vintage 2017)

Château Vessière's Tradition range includes a singular white wine. A blend of 75% Roussanne and 25% Grenache blanc, obtained through pellicular maceration, this white reveals a delicately perfumed nose of white flowers, pear and citrus fruit. Very fresh on the palate, a lovely, controlled roundness emerges, echoing the aromas present on the nose. A hint of minerality carries through to the finish. Very pleasant!

90/100 Wine Enthusiast

"Salmon rosé in the glass, this lively rosé releases crystalline aromas of pink grapefruit, guava and red cherry. A hint of grapefruit on the mid-palate adds vitality and freshness. This is a concentrated yet fresh wine to be enjoyed young." (Wine Enthusiast 2019) Ideal for the Indian summer!
