Constantia
Visit Constantia zone is world-famous for its sweet wine, Vin de Constance. Its geographical area is relatively limited, situated between the Constantiaberg and Vlakkenberg mountains.

The vines in the Constantia area are predominantly southeast-facing and benefit from the False Bay breezes. The Constantia area is renowned for its Sauvignon Blanc, but there are also Chardonnay, Riesling and Semillon, as well as black grapes: Merlot, Shiraz and Cabernet Franc.

The soils in the Constantia area are formed of granite overlaid by reddish-brown sandstone.

"Legendary wine

"The palate shows a great balance between sweetness, alcohol and acidity and is soft but not as sweet as many other sweet wines. Surprising! It's delicate with generous floral tones and it's really delicious. [...] This wine captures the essence of Vin de Constance." (Wine Advocate 2019 - Anthony Mueller) Every fine cellar needs a Vin de Constance!

Cuvée Metis is the fruit of the union between Domaine Pascal Jolivet in Sancerre and Klein Constantia. What they have in common is a perfect mastery of Sauvignon Blanc. This cuvée is an ode to this grape variety, highlighting the full potential of the Constantia terroir. A wine that crosses borders and unites people!
