Klein Constantia
The Domaine de Klein Constantia is a global icon thanks to its famous Vin de Constance.

Present in all the royal courts of Europe in the 18th and 19th centuries, Klein Constantia then suffered the phylloxera crisis. It wasn't until 1986, after a century of dormancy, that Klein Constantia regained its letters of nobility and is now a regular feature in the TOP 10 of the world's most renowned estates. Minority co-owner Hubert de Boüard, known for his other property Château Angelus, joined the adventure in 2005.

Klein Constantia 's vineyards cover 146 hectares on the eastern slopes of the Constantiaberg hill. The grape varieties grown at Domaine Klein Constantia are mainly Cabernet Sauvignon and Sauvignon Blanc, as well as the Muscat de Frontignan used for Vin de Constance.

"Legendary wine

"The palate shows a great balance between sweetness, alcohol and acidity and is soft but not as sweet as many other sweet wines. Surprising! It's delicate with generous floral tones and it's really delicious. [...] This wine captures the essence of Vin de Constance." (Wine Advocate 2019 - Anthony Mueller) Every fine cellar needs a Vin de Constance!

Cuvée Metis is the fruit of the union between Domaine Pascal Jolivet in Sancerre and Klein Constantia. What they have in common is a perfect mastery of Sauvignon Blanc. This cuvée is an ode to this grape variety, highlighting the full potential of the Constantia terroir. A wine that crosses borders and unites people!
