Klein Constantia

Present in all European royal courts in the 18th and 19th centuries,Klein Constantia then suffered the phylloxera crisis. It was not until 1986, after a century of dormancy, that Klein Constantia regained its prestige and became a regular feature in the TOP 10 of the world's most renowned estates. Hubert de Boüard, known for his other property Château Angelus, joined the venture in 2005 as a minority co-owner.

The Klein Constantia vineyards cover 146 hectares on the eastern slopes of Constantiaberg hill. The Klein Constantia estate's grape varieties consist mainly of Cabernet Sauvignon and Sauvignon Blanc, as well as Muscat de Frontignan, which is used for Vin de Constance.
