Alto Valle del Rio Negro
The appellation Alto Valle del Rio Negro is located in the extreme north of Patagonia, over 600 km south of Mendoza. Nearly 2,500 hectares of vines are planted, mainly around Neuquen and General Roca.

With late frosts, the region enjoys warm days and cool nights, favoring a long ripening period and the production of fresh white wines and supple, ripe reds. The main grape varieties used to make white wines are pedro gimenez, torrontes, semillon, chardonnay and sauvignon blanc; for reds, merlot, malbec, syrah and pinot noir are planted. The wines benefit from a freshness due more to the region's southern location than to its altitude (300 meters).

93/100 Tim Atkin

"This elegant Pinot Noir vineyard, planted in 2004 with clone N°777, is gradually building its own history. Vinified with 50% whole bunches, the resulting wine is very delicately oaky, allowing subtle notes of spice, fresh tobacco and raspberry to express themselves freely. One of Patagonia's must-haves".
