San Pedro de Yacochuya
In 1988, at the request of the Etchart family, one of the oldest families in the Calchaquie Valley, Dany and Michel Rolland discovered Cafayate, a true wine-growing paradise in northwestern Argentina. They fell in love with this country, its culture, and its traditions.
Dany and Michel Rolland were convinced that unique and exceptional wines could be produced in this mountainous landscape of the Pre-Cordillera of the Andes.
The Cafayate region is located a few hundred kilometers south of the Tropic of Capricorn, at an altitude of 2,035 meters, and enjoys a very special climate with alternating hot days and cool nights.
Seduced by the remarkable potential of an old Malbec vineyard perched at an altitude of 2,035 meters, Dany and Michel decided, together with their Argentine friends, to put all their passion and expertise into producing the wines of San Pedro de Yacochuya.
