Château d'Agassac
Château d'Agassac was a very old seigneury. Local tradition has it that an inscription found in the underground passageways of Château d'Agassac dates its construction to the 11th century. In 1580, the estate passed into the hands of a large parliamentary family, the Pomiès, who held it until the French Revolution. Owned by the Gasqueton family since 1960, the Château d'Agassac estate was purchased in 1996 by a major insurance company, Groupama.

Recently renovated, Château d'Agassacstill retains the vestiges of its past, with its ancient 14th-century walls flanked by more recent towers. Château d'Agassac is one of the most picturesque residences in the Haut-Médoc. The 42-hectare vineyard consists of two enclosures, each located on its own gravelly hillside in the southern part of Ludon. An experienced and dynamic team is in charge of extracting the quintessence of this exceptional terroir and of these old vines with high potential, to produce an AOC Haut-Médoc Cru Bourgeois of great renown, according to the principles of sustainable agriculture.

"Medium to deep garnet-purple in color, the 2018 d'Agassac lets out notes of crushed blackberries, cassis and warm plums, as well as hints of graphite, lavender and kirsch. Medium-bodied, the palate is elegantly stylized with crisp black and red fruits and lovely freshness, textured by soft tannins, and finishes with a step forward." (Wine Advocate 2021) Delivery in wooden case for orders of 6 bottles of this wine (excluding Point Relais delivery method).
