Château d'Issan
The Château d'Issan vineyard covers 30 hectares of gravelly alluvial plateau on a limestone or clay-loam bed. Château d'Issan is a Margaux made from a blend of 65% Cabernet Sauvignon and 35% Merlot, the appellation's authentic grape varieties. Blending is carried out under the supervision of Emmanuel Cruse, Eric Pellon and Jacques Boissenot, the estate's consultant oenologist, before 18 months' ageing in stave-wood oak barrels. The exceptional work carried out at Château d'Issan results in a wine that perfectly expresses the supple, delicate qualities of the terroir.

Moulin d'Issan - Bordeaux Supérieur 2020
The Moulin d'Issan vineyard is located on the parcels of Château d'Issan in the Bordeaux Supérieur appellation. Close to the Gironde estuary, the soils are ideal for growing Merlot grapes. This immediately pleasurable wine combines richness, suppleness and fruitiness. It benefits from the same care and the same team as its elder brother, 3ème Grand Cru Classé de Margaux.

"The nose is wonderfully intense, ripe and concentrated, with aromas of toasted oak. Supple and vibrant on the palate, the fruit is clean and crisp with fine but firm tannins, giving the expression a little tension and linearity. Cinnamon and clove edge the bright blackcurrant and black cherry fruit, with lovely acidity. This wine is both rich and firm, clean and clear, fragrant and ripe. There's a lot going on here, including bitter dark chocolate. Everything is happening. It needs time to relax, but it's wonderfully nuanced and truly captivating.
