"Extremely refined on the nose, the fruit is ripe but not overripe, the oak subtle, the spicy and floral notes perfect, the palate is fat, rich, with a savory frame, fatness and superb vivacity on the finish. Goes on forever and will age incredibly well. A great dimension. (Le Guide des Vins Bettane & Desseauve) Delivery in wooden case for orders delivered in France of 6 bottles of this wine.

Tasting & pairing
Eye
Beautiful, lively pale gold hue.
Nose
Very clean, intense and complex. Fresh fruit dominates, with notes of citrus, vine peach, fresh pineapple and acacia flower. Mineral, mentholated and smoky notes are delicately expressed.
Mouth
Full-bodied, unctuous, straightforwardly driven by the acidity of the fruit and the gravelly soil. Superbly fruity. The great richness of this wine is pulpy, leaving an impression of sweet, delicate sweetness, balanced by acidity in great freshness. Very long, precise, just right and balanced.

Bettane & Desseauve
Rated 19/20 (Wine of exceptional quality)
Domaine rated (2021 guide) 5*Stars (Outstanding producers, those who represent the absolute pinnacle of quality in France and the world)
About the wine:
Extremely refined on the nose, with ripe but not overripe fruit, subtle oak, and perfect spicy and floral notes, this wine is fat and rich on the palate, with a luscious structure, fatness and superb vivacity on the finish. Goes on forever and will age incredibly well. A great dimension.
About the domain :
Here's an estate held in high esteem by all, with a superb single vineyard surrounding the château, among the best cultivated in Bordeaux. Olivier Bernard is a tireless ambassador for Bordeaux wines around the world. He is also one of those who most intimately know the value of their product, thanks to daily tastings in the company of the countless visitors to the estate, a pioneer in welcoming the public. The whites are the most racy in the commune, the reds models of Bordeaux classicism in their proportions and flavor. The latest reds are impressive for their extra body and complexity. Beautiful nuances, tension and energy for the white esprit-de-chevalier, which is the perfect reflection of the great wine. The 2016, 2017 and 2018 reds and whites are simply top-notch, and the estate richly deserves its 5-star rating.

About the wine:
Closed on the nose at first, Domain de Chevalier 2017 Blanc (composed of 70% Sauvignon Blanc and 30% Semillon) opens with aromas of ripe pear, delicious golden apples and white peach with notions of straw, honeysuckle and chalk. Medium-bodied, the palate is seriously intense and racy, with plenty of mineral sparkle on the finish. Aged 16 months in French oak barrels, 35% new.

Domaine rated (2022 guide) 2*Stars (These great estates, often blessed with fabulous terroirs, are must-haves which, because of their consistency and the excellence of their production, must be included in the cellars of discerning wine lovers).
About the domain :
Since 1983, the Bernard family has been doing its utmost to keep this fine estate at the forefront of the appellation. Thanks to state-of-the-art technical equipment and a vineyard that is now old enough to produce great grapes, the wines are irreproachable, both white and red. The vineyard, located in one of the cooler areas of the appellation, on the edge of the Landes forest, is tended like a garden. The white grapes are sorted with extreme care, and vinification has become considerably more sophisticated, without altering the style or class of this highly reputed wine. Chevalier embodies finesse and elegance, without compromising ageing potential.

About the wine:
This wine is dense, with concentrated spice and rich white fruit and kiwi. The acidity is high, giving the wine impressive fruitiness and aging potential, as suggested by the wood texture and flavors. To be enjoyed at full maturity in 2022.
