Château Gazin Rocquencourt
Situated on a dry gravelly hilltop in Léognan, Château Gazin Rocquencourt extends over 30 hectares, 22 of which are in the Pessac-Léognan appellation.

In 2006, the Bonnie family (owners of Château Malartic-Lagravière) marked the revival of Château Gazin Rocquencourt by buying this previously discreet property. Gradually restructured to enhance its gravelly terroir, it is now revealing superb potential that is making itself known to wine-lovers.

As with Château Malartic-Lagravière and Bodega Diamandes (Argentina), the vineyards of Château Gazin Rocquencourt are managed according to an internal environmental charter that combines ploughing, integrated farming, HVE (High Environmental Value), organic and biodynamic plots... Since 2007, Château Gazin Rocquencourt has benefited from a fully gravity-fed winery managed entirely by Malartic's teams.

Château Gazin Rocquencourt is historically known for its red Pessac Léognan, but since 2010, the estate has also been producing a white Pessac-Léognan in 100% Sauvignon.

"In red, the 2012 (50/50 cabernet-sauvignon and merlot) is of an excellent level. It offers a very pleasant gourmand substance on slightly sweet tannins and a tasty finish. Truly delicious in this complicated vintage" (Le Guide des Meilleurs Vins de France 2016 - RVF)

"An unexpected success of the vintage, this discreet Pessac-Léognan estate has produced a beautifully concentrated and rich Graves offering notes of strawberries, jammy cherries, cedar and barbecue smoke. Plenty of fruit and glycerin, soft tannins and controlled acidity give a charming claret to enjoy over the next 7-8 years." (Wine Advocate 2012 - Robert Parker)
