Château Haut-Bergey
At the head of the Haut-Bergey Castle, the Garcin family, Syliane Garcin-Cathiard and her husband Gaston, successfully developed and modernized the property upon their arrival in 1991. Located in the heart of Léognan, the vineyard covers 40 hectares, mainly in the appellation. Pessac-Léognan for its reds and whites. Today, Paul Garcin, the son, is continuing the work started by his parents, notably by recently beginning a conversion to organic and biodynamic farming.
Château Haut-Bergey produces mainly red wine on 37 hectares of vineyards, composed largely of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot, and Malbec. The rarer Château Haut-Bergey white wine is produced on 2 hectares of Sauvignon and Sémillon, and finally, Cuvée Paul is the estate's rosé wine in the Bordeaux appellation.
