Château Gazin
Château Gazin was purchased in the early 20th century by Louis Soualle, great-grandfather of the owners. Louis Soualle's descendants represent the 5th generation of wine estate owners on both their father's and mother's sides.

The Château Gazin vineyard covers 26 hectares in a single block on the high terrace of the Pomerol terroir. The terroir is composed of Günzian gravel on the surface and blue and green clays with iron oxides (crasse de fer) on the subsoil. The vines are cultivated in the traditional way with full respect for the environment: ploughing, organic fertilizers, integrated pest management, manual harvesting (plot by plot, at perfect maturity).

Château Gazin wines are long and silky, complex and always a pleasure to drink.

"A powerful, virile 2011 that reveals a ruby/purple color, great richness, fleshy, with notes of coffee, black cherry liqueur and spice, and a full-bodied palate. It will benefit from another 3 to 4 years of cellaring, and should keep for more than 15 years." (Wine Advocate - Robert Parker). The neighbor of Pétrus and Lafleur delights us with this 2011 vintage. Delivery in wooden cases for orders of 6 bottles of this wine.

" Not a drop of Cabernet in Gazin's 2012, as the Cabernets may have suffered from the October rains; Merlot always takes center stage in the blends anyway. The wine is vinified in small concrete vats that allow for parcel-by-parcel selections, then aged for sixteen months in half new barrels. Its bouquet is perfectly balanced between aromas of ripe dark berries and elegant oak. Powerful, full-bodied, warm and fleshy, the palate reveals pleasant aromas of pit and macerated cherry. Its still young but noble tannins vouch for this bottle's potential". (Le Guide Hachette des Vins 2016). Delivery in wooden cases for orders of 6 bottles of this wine.
