"A powerful, virile 2011 that reveals a ruby/purple color, great richness, fleshy, with notes of coffee, black cherry liqueur and spice, and a full-bodied palate. It will benefit from another 3 to 4 years of cellaring, and should keep for more than 15 years." (Wine Advocate - Robert Parker). The neighbor of Pétrus and Lafleur delights us with this 2011 vintage. Delivery in wooden cases for orders of 6 bottles of this wine.

Château Gazin
Pomerol
Expert opinion
Bettane & Desseauve
Wine rated (2014 guide) 17/20 (benchmark wine)
Estate rated (2017 guide) 3*Stars (High-quality production that can serve as a benchmark in its sector)
About the wine:
A racy nose of black fruits and peony, with a silky, refined texture and depth on the palate.
About the domain :
With its 24 hectares, Gazin is one of the great estates on Pomerol's mythical plateau, and more than a single block it faces Petrus. The de Bailliencourt family is putting all its energy into bringing this family cru to the top of the Pomerol hierarchy.
Guide Hachette des vins
Wine rated (2015 guide) 1*Star (Very successful wine)
About the wine:
One of Pomerol's most famous crus, formerly owned by the Hospitaliers de Saint-Jean-de-Jérusalem, it joined the Bailliencourt family in the early 20th century. It's also one of the largest, with 26 hectares in a single block on a superb clay-gravel terroir, producing Pomerols of great classicism. Although it doesn't match some of its recent predecessors, starting with the remarkable 2010, the 2011 is a fine example. The color is an attractive deep purple. Still in its infancy, the nose blends berries, toast and a hint of spice. The palate, initially supple and fine, evolves towards greater robustness, carried by solid, very tight tannins. Austere for the moment, it has yet to reveal itself, so be patient...
Guide des Vins Gault & Millau
Rated 16/20 (Very good)
About the wine:
One of Pomerol's largest estates (24 ha) and a consistent producer. The elegant nose reveals notes of violet, cedar wood and raspberry. The palate is tasty and full-bodied, with good length, juicy cherries and sweet spices. Beautiful balance.

Wine rated (2015 guide) 15/20 (Good wine)
Estate rated (2017 guide) 1*Star (Stars in the making or quality winemakers with good production levels, you won't be disappointed when you taste the wines from these estates)
About the wine:
The 2011 is built on fine tannins and good substance without exuberance.
About the domain :
Gazin is the largest of Pomerol's top crus, with 24 ha situated on the clay-gravel terroirs of the plateau. Here, Nicolas de Bailliencourt consistently produces an excellent wine with a classic structure and no stylistic effects, which ages admirably. The latest vintages are particularly convincing, and Gazin has established itself as a safe bet, at prices that have remained reasonable.
