Château Soleil
The fruit of a solid friendship, Didier Miqueu and Stephen Von Neipperg (Château Canon La Gaffelière, Clos de l'Oratoire) acquired the Château Soleil in 2005.

Situated on the best terroirs in the Puisseguin appellation, Château Soleil covers some 20 hectares of vines, mainly Merlot, cultivated in a sustainable manner: mechanical tillage, no chemical weedkillers or fertilizers, controlled yields...

The grape varieties planted at Château Soleil are typical of Saint Emilion vineyards: around 80% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% Cabernet Franc, with an average age of the vines of over 30 years.

At Château Soleil, blending takes place at the end of the ageing process, with 60 to 85% of the harvest used for the grand vin.

2*Coup de Coeur Hachette

-

15/20 Bettane & Desseauve

"Parcel-by-parcel vinification, gentle extraction, malolactic fermentation in barrel, eighteen months of barrel ageing and an admirable result, especially in such a complicated vintage. The nose is intense, with stimulating notes of toast, spice, smoke and menthol. On the palate, the wine is alert, full-bodied and rising, built on wise tannins that become velvety on the finish, leaving a sensation of perfect maturity and balance". (Le Guide Hachette des Vins 2017)
