Château Lalande-Borie
Visit Château Lalande-Borie was created in 1970 by Jean-Eugène Borie on the Lalande terroir, which he acquired that year from a Saint-Julien grand cru classé and to which he added his own name. Today managed by Jean-Eugène Borie SA, this wine, which has rapidly acquired a fine reputation, is owned by Madame Jean-Eugène Borie, her daughter Sabine Coiffe and her son Bruno-Eugène (Chairman of the Board).

Visit Château Lalande-Borie is located in the western part of the Saint-Julien communal appellation. The estate, situated in the heart of the terroirs of several renowned Grands Crus Classés, consists of a single parcel of land covering 30 ha, of which 22 ha are currently planted with vines. The soil is composed of light gravel overlying a subsoil of coarser gravel and clay. The current 22 ha of Château Lalande Borie are planted with 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Merlot Noir and 10% Cabernet Franc. With a density of 8,500 vines per hectare, the vineyard is managed in the traditional way (Médoc pruning, double Guyot, etc.), while incorporating the latest advances in viticulture: manual leaf thinning, green harvesting in summer, partial grassing, yield control and rational phytosanitary treatments.

"It's hard to resist the charm and brilliance of the 2016. Its juiciness, fresh fruit notes and delicate tannins make it a very great charmer." (Le Guide des Meilleurs Vins de France 2019 - RVF) A powerful Saint-Julien with irresistible charm. Delivery in wooden cases for orders of 6 bottles of this wine (excluding Point Relais delivery).
