Domaine Bernard Defaix

Visit Bernard Defaix Estate is located in the heart of the Chablis vineyards, in Milly. Fourth generation of a family of winegrowers, Bernard Defaix settled in 1959 with 2 hectares. Today the estate extends over 27 hectares, half of which are in AOP Chablis 1er Cru. The first step in successful winemaking takes place in the vineyard because "to make good wine, you need good grapes". The vines are managed organically with very rigorous monitoring, which allows the grapes to reach their best level of maturity and expression.
Thanks to skillful vinification and aging on lees in vats, the wines of Bernard Defaix estate gain fat and protect themselves against oxidation.
