"In its pale yellow color with silvery highlights, this 1ercru tiptoes with finesse. Admittedly, the nose has a hard time opening up, revealing only slightly buttery fruit notes on aeration, but the palate is more expressive and full of drive: citrus acidity adds to minerality and a woody base, before a saline finish. Please note: although the 2015 vintage is certified organic, this will not be the case for future vintages due to the major climatic difficulties that affected Chablisien in 2016 and 2017." Rated (2018 guide) 15.5/20 (Good wine)

Domaine rated (guide 2023) 1*Star (Stars in the making or quality winemakers with a good level of production, you won't be disappointed when you taste the wines from these estates)

About the wine:

With its aromatic hints of cumin, Les Fourneaux has a fine grain but is a little muted. Its still mid-palate will soften with age.

About the domain :

Domaine Grossot shines first and foremost in the remarkable quality of its generic Chablis wines. These are most often produced on the right bank of the Serein, on slopes and terroirs comparable in every way to those of illustrious neighbors classified as premier cru. For those who appreciate that the ripe grain of chardonnay rolls long on the tongue, that beautiful bitters evolve towards notes of dry, fresh chalk after seven or eight years in bottle, here is a sincere, well-constituted range. The domaine is completing its organic conversion.
