Rated 18.5/20 (Wine of exceptional quality)
Domaine rated (2023 guide) 4*Stars (Top-quality producers, the glories of French winegrowing)
About the wine:
Absolutely magnificent, showing where the vintage wanted to go, with no betrayal of viticulture or harvest date, absolute refinement of texture, inimitable breed of this part of the hillside, and exemplary skill in vinification and especially ageing.
About the domain :
From Les Cazetiers to Bouzeron, this major Beaune trading house, founded in 1731, owns over 142 parcels in 130 hectares of vineyards, including 73 hectares of Premier and Grand Cru. This first-rate winegrowing heritage enables Fréderic Weber, a talented winemaker who was previously in charge of Château de Poncié, to produce around 600,000 bottles out of the total three million produced here each year, with most of the production coming from purchased grapes for the great reds, and carefully selected musts for the non-domain whites. Impressive success in both white and red wines in recent vintages.

Rated (2019 guide) 93/100 (Wonderful wine)
Domain rated (guide 2022) Recommended (Wine producer recommended by Robert Parker - The Wine Advocate)
About the wine:
The 2017 Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru surpasses its barrel appearance, revealing a lovely bouquet of ripe orchard fruit, citrus oil, spring flowers and custard. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied, elegantly bright and precise, with a fleshy core of fruit tempered by lively acids, ending with a delicately chalky finish. Although a little closed after its recent bottling, this is a charming, expressive Corton-Charlemagne in the making.
