"Simply fantastic!"
"Aromas of citrus zest, freshly baked bread, beeswax, buttered popcorn, and vanilla bean introduce the Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru 2019 (Domaine des Héritiers Jadot), a full-bodied, satiny, layered wine that is rich and muscular, with a concentrated, structured core of fruit surrounded by racy acidity and chalky dry extract. Long and resonant, it will reward patience. (Wine Advocate 2022) • Delivery in wooden crates is available for orders of 6 bottles of this wine (depending on the country and shipping method selected).

Rated estate (2025 guide) 4 stars (Producers of very high quality, those who are the pride of French vineyards)
About the estate:
The Gagey family became involved in this veritable piece of Burgundian historical heritage upon the death of Louis-Auguste Jadot. With no heir, the estate was entrusted in 1962 to André Gagey, who remained its manager until 1991, when he handed over the reins to his son Pierre-Henry, who now oversees the 225 hectares of vineyards. Since 2011, Frédéric Barnier has been in charge of winemaking, perfectly succeeding Jacques Lardière and further improving the consistency and homogeneity of all the wines. The whites are pneumatically pressed and fermented directly in barrels, where they are aged on lees with periodic stirring for 12 to 20 months. The red wines are vinified destemmed, uncrushed, without cold pre-fermentation, and undergo a vatting period of 25 to 27 days before beginning their 12 to 22 months of aging in barrels, a third of which are new.

Rated estate (2022 guide) 1*Star (Up-and-coming stars or quality winemakers producing good-quality wines; you won't be disappointed when tasting the wines from these estates)
About wine:
Finely powdered with aromas of breadcrumbs and new oak, the 2019 Corton-Charlemagne stands out for its silkiness and beautiful full-bodied texture, even if its fruit will need time to digest the still-pronounced influence of aging.
About the estate:
This prestigious wine merchant is run with great efficiency by Pierre-Henry Gagey, who is very involved in Burgundy. The company has an extensive range and a beautiful collection of terroirs, including the main Burgundy appellations. Frédéric Barnier, who has been in charge of winemaking since 2012, is gradually making his mark by refining the wines. Consistency is one of this house's strengths. While the whites show beautiful balance, the reds are strict and severe, with woodiness dominating the fruit and even acetate notes, which this year detract from the enjoyment of certain vintages. Let's hope this is temporary, as the star is under threat.

About wine:
Round and silky, the nose seems a little shy at first. On reflection, it reveals beautiful bursts of ripe pineapple, lemon verbena, and fresh pear, as well as fresh hay, a vanilla pod, and a creamy, buttery finish. Balanced by lovely acidity, the wine has aging potential well beyond 2030.

About wine:
Complex and sensual nose of citrus and pineapple with a hint of melted butter. The powerful and very structured palate is energized by mineral acidity that pushes the tight finish very far. Drink now or keep.

About wine:
Distant wood smoke, fresh and roasted hazelnuts, and a hint of dried yarrow come through beautifully on the nose. The palate follows with equal sumptuousness and precision. One expresses the creamy texture, the other the chalky depth. A delicate freshness frames this supple wine with its well-controlled but evident power. The finish is tense and smoky.
