Domaine Marie Bouthenet

Domaine Marie Bouthenet
Jean-François Boutheneta passionate winegrower, created the estate in 1987, which his daughter Marie has taken over since her retirement, renaming it Domaine Marie Bouthenetin 2024.

The 11.5 hectares of Domaine Marie Bouthenet are cultivated in a sustainable manner and spread over the communes of Santenay, Cheilly-les-Maranges and Dezize-les-Maranges.

Domaine Marie Bouthenet 's vines are 45 years old on average, and are harvested by hand. Traditional vinification then follows, with malolactic fermentation in oak barrels for most of the wines in the range.

Domaine Jean-François Bouthenet - Bourgogne Pinot Noir Vielles Vignes 2022

"A superb Pinot Noir that will delight your taste buds!

"From this 70-acre parcel in the Maranges region, the domaine extracts a lovely ruby-colored wine, open to classic red cherry and redcurrant aromas, with discreet oak. These berries are reflected in an energetic, fresh palate, with firm tannins but no hardness. A little ageing is required". (Le Guide Hachette 2025) - Last vintage made by Jean-François before handing over the estate to his daughter Marie in 2024.

"A model of success!"

"Although they represent only 10% of the appellation, white Maranges are gaining new fans every year. A sure bet in this color, the domaine has landed a Favorite with this brilliant cuvée in every sense of the word. A fine golden color, a subtle, complex nose of toast and vanilla from the barrel, verbena, lemon and dried apricot, a full, silky, buttery, almost creamy palate, refreshed and stretched by a long, mineral finish".
