Drink or Keep

Here's a pretty Meursault 2009 that's tasting well right now and will make lovely gourmet pairings. It opens on a background of toasted notes with a hint of vanilla, and develops a fruity-floral blend with nuances of white peach and hawthorn. A full-bodied, well-balanced wine, long on the palate with a hint of sweetness and beautiful minerality. Serve with sautéed chanterelles, chanterelles with cream sauce, scallops with trumpets of death or poultry with mushroom cream sauce!

Bettane & Desseauve

Bettane & Desseauve

Domaine rated (guide 2022) 4*Stars (Top-quality producers, the glories of French winegrowing)

About the domain :

This historic house, founded in 1831, is today led by Albéric Bichot, the sixth generation of this family whose presence in Burgundy dates back to the 13th century. Supported by Alain Serveau (technical director) and Christophe Chavel (viticultural director), these three musketeers have built up an original model for a Burgundy house, with wines signed Bichot in all the appellations of greater Burgundy, as well as four estates richly endowed with fine vintages: Long-Depaquit for the Chablisien, Clos-Frantin for the Côte de Nuits, Domaine du Pavillon for the Côte de Beaune, and Domaine Adélie for the Côte Chalonnaise.

Domaine noté (guide 2022) Sélectionné (We remind you that this guide is a prize list and as such, all the estates that appear in it, even without a star, represent, in our eyes, the excellence of French production).

About the domain :

This historic Beaune house, run since 1996 by Albéric Bichot, hasn't always shone for the consistency and quality of its wines. Things have now changed. Under the Albert Bichot banner, you'll find wines from six estates: Long-Depaquit in Chablis (see this address), Clos Frantin and Château-Gris in Côte de Nuits, Domaine du Pavillon, Domaine Adélie in Côte Chalonnaise and Domaine de Rochegrès in Beaujolais. Each of these structures has its own winemaking facilities and dedicated teams, under the leadership of General Technical Manager Alain Serveau.
