Clos Poggiale
Clos Poggiale was part of Vins et Domaines Skalli, before being sold in 2011 to Jean-François Renucci, President of the Union des Vins de l'Ile de Beauté and winegrower in the Aléria region. The 135-hectare estate, producing quality vintages in all three colors, thus passes into the hands of a great connoisseur of Corsican wines, while the Skalli family retains local production under the Terra Vecchia brand.

The Clos Poggiale vineyards have been, and will continue to be, managed with the utmost care, using plot-by-plot selections, manual harvesting and low yields. Clos Poggiale wines are renowned for their high quality, vinified and matured according to the rules of the art, produced with respect for the different terroirs, each more qualitative than the last.

Clos Poggiale blanc is made from 100% Vermentino grapes, grown at low yields, with few bunches per vine, perfectly concentrating all the potential that plants can accumulate. This white reveals a nose of great aromatic finesse, with citrus aromas (citron) and notes of wild maquis flowers. A bite-sized piece of Corsica!

Note : Guide Hachette 2**(remarkable wine)
"Born of the marriage of love between niellucciu and syrah, this red presents itself in a dark, elegant suit. Its nose of ripe red berries from the maquis heralds a full, long palate with silky tannins". (Le Guide Hachette des Vins 2010). "One of the flagships of the Skalli family's reds...its value for money should put to shame many of the pretentious vintages from the south of the continent that disgrace the menus of luxury restaurants in the same sector." (Bettane & Desseauve for Le Monde 2).

Award: Silver Medal Concours Général Agricole 2009
The influence of the sea and mountains creates a unique micro-climate on the estate. The sun's generous rays are tempered by the wind. Made from Syrah and Nielluccio grapes, this luscious rosé presents complex, delicate floral (rose) and fruity (raspberry, citron, citrus) notes. Balanced and refreshing, it 's an ideal companion for summer tables!
