Bodegas Barreda
Bodegas Barreda is a family estate located in Corral de Almaguer, in the province of Tolede, Spain. The De La Barreda produces modern-style wines, the result of extensive investment in modernization and the work of oenologist Ignacio de Miguel, winemaker Marc Gomez and winemaker Longinos Munoz.

Bodegas Barreda owns 160 hectares at an average altitude of 700 m, divided into three distinct estates: La Dehesilla, Monte Alto and Pancierto. The climate is warm and dry continental, ideal for optimal grape ripening. The main grape varieties used are the endemic Arien, which covers 85 hectares, and Tempranillo, Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon, which together cover 75 hectares.

Score : Robert Parker 90/100
"The 2009 Torre de Barreda offers an impressive nose of well-integrated oak that doesn't hide scents of plum and beautiful currants. The palate is medium-bodied with dry, grainy tannins. It has good acidity and a generous palette of plums and quetsche. A well-made wine that has its feet firmly on the ground and begs you to take another sip... Superb" (Wine Advocate - Robert Parker)
