Born in Gumiel de Mercado, a village in the heart of the Ribera del Duero region, Rosa and Moisés inherited a vineyard heritage in 1999: a tradition, vines and land. They set about replanting the vineyard.

In 2003, the Bodegas Arrocal project took shape with the construction of the winery and the production of the estate's first wines.

Today, Bodegas Arrocal boasts 33 hectares of vines planted mainly with Tempranillo, at an altitude of around 800m.

"Extremely balsamic, Arrocal 2012 shows aromas of mint, eucalyptus even, intermingled with black and red berries and lots of spicy flavors. The palate is medium-bodied, with fine, slightly dusty tannins in good balance. This 100% Tempranillo was aged in barrels for 1 year." (Wine Advocate 2015 - Robert Parker)
