Bodegas La Magdalena Vega Moragona
Vega Moragona La Magdalena is a Castilla-La Mancha cooperative located in the south-east of Cuenca province, founded in 1958 by 60 local producers, and now boasting some 290 members. It has a vineyard area of over 1,400 hectares, producing around 8,000 tonnes of grapes, planted with noble varieties such as Tempranillo, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah and Macabeo.

The Ribera del Jucar terroir, where the depth of the soil and the layer of pebbles that cover it, enable optimal and uniform ripening of the grapes, giving a raw material of exceptional quality for winemaking. The Vega Moragona La Magdalena winery is equipped with modern winemaking facilities, including a 250-barrel cellar. The wines are kept until they reach their optimum development.

90/100 Robert Parker

"Vega Moragona Vinas Viejas 2010 has used less wood than the 2011. The nose is more expressive and lively, with well-defined notes of small black cherries, blueberry, vanilla and a hint of dark chocolate. The palate is medium-bodied, with a fleshy, greedy attack - a sumptuous Tempranillo, modern in style, slender and well-balanced on the palate, with a touch of spice and white pepper adorning the long finish. Very beautiful." (Wine Advocate 2013 - Robert Parker)
