Les Terres d'Ocre

Les Terres d'Ocre estate was created in 2013 by three family partners, Eric and Valérie Nesson, the uncle and aunt, look after the vineyard and business side, while Florent Barichard, the nephew, looks after the winemaking, vineyard and business side. The estate is located in the heart of the Saint-Pourçain appellation, in the communes of Châtel de Neuvre and Meillard. This promising young estate has been hailed for its first two vintages by the eminent Revue du Vin de France, which describes it as "a young estate to watch, promising and emblematic of the appellation's revival".

Les Terres d'Ocre vineyardcertified organic in 2020, comprises 9.5 hectares of vines, divided into 3.30 hectares of white grapes with trésailler and chardonnay, and 6.20 hectares of red grapes with gamay and pinot noir. The vines are planted on two totally different terroirs that complement each other perfectly: Châtel de Neuvre, with its sandy-clay soil, and Meillard, with its granitic soil.

Les Terres d'Ocre estate wines are matured in concrete vats, expressing tonicity, freshness and the right expression of fruit, paying homage to the grape varieties and terroirs of Saint-Pourçain.
