Les Terres d'Ocre

Domaine Les Terres d'Ocre was created in 2013 by three family partners, Eric and Valérie Nesson, the uncle and aunt, look after the vineyard and business side, while Florent Barichard, the nephew, looks after the winemaking, vineyards and business. The estate is located in the heart of the Saint-Pourçain appellation, in the communes of Châtel de Neuvre and Meillard. This promising young estate has been hailed for its first two vintages by the eminent Revue du Vin de France, which describes it as "a young estate to watch, promising and emblematic of the appellation's revival".

The vineyards of Les Terres d'Ocre, certified organic in 2020, comprise 9.5 hectares of vines, divided into 3.30 hectares of white grape varieties with trésailler and chardonnay, and 6.20 hectares of red grape varieties with gamay and pinot noir. The vines are spread over two totally different terroirs that complement each other perfectly: Châtel de Neuvre, with its sandy-clay soil, and Meillard, with its granitic soil.

Domaine Les Terres d'Ocre wines are matured in concrete vats, and express tonicity, freshness and the right expression of fruit, paying homage to the grape varieties and terroirs of Saint-Pourçain.
