About the wine :
The intense, almost black color hints at the ripeness of the grapes. The nose confirms this, offering lovely notes of periwinkle, blackcurrant and blackberry. The palate, with its almost sweet roundness, generous, tight tannins and fine balance, fleshes out the aromatic range with subtle spicy fragrances. The density of the fruit and the exceptional length of this cuvée win you over.
About the domain :
Michèle Mallard-Etchegaray, daughter of the founder, handed over the reins of the 52-hectare estate to her sons, Vincent and Hervé, in 2010. The cellar, dug into the hard limestone, houses all the estate's old vintages produced since 1950. A sure bet.
