Bastide du Claux
La Bastide du Claux is run by Sylvain Morey, originally from Chassagne-Montrachet, who moved to the Luberon after studying oenology in 1995. It is located in the heart of the Parc Naturel du Luberon, on sandy-clay soils laid out in terraces facing south-west in the commune of Ansouis, at the top of a north-east-facing slope at La Motte d'Aigues, and on a gravelly hump in Cabrières d'Aigues.

The Bastide du Claux vineyard is fragmented and covers some 15 hectares. Offering a rich combination of soils, climates and exposures, this area requires the winegrower to highlight its particularities, respect its natural balances and keep the right gesture in mind.

La Bastide du Claux wines are complex, easily digestible and well-balanced. The whites are superb, undoubtedly the best in the appellation; the reds powerfully demonstrate all the beauty and intensity of these southern terroirs.

Grande réussite RVF

(2013 vintage notes)

From this plot planted with 7 different white grape varieties, Barraban reveals aromas of white flowers and chalk. Tension and finesse characterize this cuvée. Its lemony finish adds an extra touch of freshness. A beautiful white Luberon!
