Expert opinion
RVF - La Revue du Vin de France / Guide des Meilleurs Vins de France
Rated wine (guide 2014) Great success (Vintage 2013)
Domaine noté (guide 2016) Sélectionné (We remind you that this guide is a prize list and as such, all the estates that appear in it, even without a star, represent, in our eyes, the excellence of French production).
About the domain :
Sylvain Morey is a native of Chassagne-Montrachet. For this son of a Burgundian, white wines hold little or no secrets. But it was in the Luberon region that he set out to prove himself, producing both white and red wines. After studying oenology, he left his native Burgundy for the Luberon in 1995, with his wife Ludmila. There, they rented old vines. While Sylvain Morey is no stranger to single-vineyard cultivation, here he has to adapt to a culture of multi-vineyard and diversified terroirs, which he blends in the cellar - the only way to make fine wines. This domaine produces well-balanced, easily digestible and complex wines. The whites are remarkable, probably the finest wines in the appellation; as for the reds, they speak loud and clear of their land of origin.

The lack of freshness on the palate and the hint of alcohol do this wine a disservice.
