Château Mazane
Château Mazane is owned by the Jaume family, an illustrious Rhône family who have been dedicated to the great terroirs of the Rhône Valley for almost two centuries, with a strong commitment to environmentally-friendly viticulture. The Jaume family took over this Vaqueyras estate in 2003, as well as Domaine du Clos de Sixte in Lirac, and of course work at Domaine Grand Veneur.

The Château Mazane vineyard, located on the garrigue plateau between the Ouvèze terraces and the Dentelles de Montmirail, is around 50 years old, and consists of a single plot. The vines, predominantly Grenache, are cultivated organically, and receive the same care as other certified vineyards.

Château Mazane wines are intense and fine, expressing distinctive aromas of spice and garrigue, a true expression of the terroir of origin.

Château Mazane - Vacqueyras 2017

92/100 James Suckling

concentrate

bio&bon

"In 2017 this wine has very impressive balance and power with flowers, wild herbs, ripe red plums and cherries, on fresh fruit. The tannins are juicy and long." (James Suckling). A fine Vacqueyras!
