En 2002, Jacques Castany et Pascal Dieunidou changent de voie professionnelle. Ils transforment un garage en cave et débutent leur aventure viticole avec une grande passion.
Leur objectif : produire des vins puissants, équilibrés et sur le fruit. C'est donc sur le terroir de Vingrau - aux sols argilo-calcaires et de marnes schisteuses, à l'exposition idéale au soleil et au vent sec et sain - que les deux hommes cultivent les vignes du Domaine de l'Edre.

Au départ uniquement en rouge, le Domaine de l'Edre élabore sa première cuvée de Côtes du Roussillon blanc en 2005. Depuis lors, toute la gamme des vins du Domaine de l'Edre est très bien accueillie par la clientèle française, étrangère ainsi que par la presse spécialisée.

"Fruit and spice!"

Aromas of ripe fruit and spice fill the mouth from the first sip. This is followed by notes of blackberry, blueberry and garrigue. The finish is persistent, with herbaceous fragrances adding a touch of freshness. This complex wine is a perfect match for many red meat dishes.

"A blend of 60% Syrah, 25% Grenache, 10% Carignan and 5% Mourvèdre and aged in second-fill barrels, the 2019 Côtes du Roussillon Villages Tautavel L'Edre is a little citron on the nose, but also hints at bay leaves, rose petals and cherry-scented fruit. Medium-bodied, it's more structured and tannic than the estate's Cuvée Carrement." (Wine Advocate 2021)
