Château Tour des Gendres
The family business, run by Luc De Conti, is divided into 3 distinct vineyards: Les Gendres, on clay-limestone and marl soils in Monbazillac, Le Grand Caillou, on clay-limestone and marl soils in Castillon, and Saint Julien d'Eymet, on clay-limestone and clay-silt soils on marl in Agenais. The vineyards have been farmed organically since 1994, and have been undergoing Agrocert-certified organic conversion since 2005. Finally, in 2000, Château Tour des Gendres set up a trading business in partnership with five neighboring estates sharing the same viticultural practices, producing Bergerac wines under the Château Tour des Gendres label. The vineyard is now run by Luc de Conti's children.

Château Tour des Gendres - Bergerac Moulin des Dames 2022
5/5 (1 review)
92/100 RVF
"Fermentation and ageing in foudres for this Sauvignon that's not afraid of it. Dry apricot and candied fruit, citrus, lime and zest flavors that come through on the finish with delicate bitters. Another hint of wood on the finish". (Le Guide RVF 2025)
Château Tour des Gendres - Côtes-de-Bergerac Les Anciens Francs 2017
92/100 RVF
"The angular notes of limestone under the franc de pied give way to fine red fruit, a luminous crunch and serious, fresh tannins on a body that becomes tauter on the finish. (Le Guide RVF 2021). Finesse and elegance for a wine built to keep!
Château Tour des Gendres - Côtes-de-Bergerac La Gloire de mon Père 2021
91/100 Vert de Vin
"The wine has a deep ruby color. The nose is dense and noble, revealing nuances of ripe black plums, figs and a touch of blackcurrant, complemented by notes of sweet spices and cocoa. The palate is fluid and unctuous, with balanced, refreshing acidity, well-controlled, fine-grained tannins and a definite finesse and elegance. The wine opens with nuances of tart red cherry, a touch of cranberry, a hint of blackcurrant leaf and fresh tobacco, a lovely spiciness and spice. Long, succulent finish. (Vert de Vin 2022)

"We love this 100% Cabernet Franc cuvée made only when the vintage lends itself to it. The nose is dazzling and refined, with fresh raspberries, sweet mint and spices. The palate is lacy without being hollow, very spicy and fruity, with beautiful flesh, freshness and incredible length. Magnificent " (Le Guide Bettane + Desseauve). Finesse and elegance in a wine built for aging!

The Sémillon grapes (50% of the blend) are harvested very ripe and partially raisined, giving a lovely aromatic complexity to this cuvée combining roundness and liveliness. A sure bet!
Château Tour des Gendres - Cuvée des Conti 2019

A warm nose of blackberries, blackcurrants and undergrowth is complemented by a floral touch. The attack is frank and fruity, followed by an energetic structure and soft tannins. The finish is fresh and salivating. A perfect expression of terroir!

1*Étoile Hachette
"No wood to highlight a promising vintage, born of Merlot (60%) and Malbec. A colorful crimson robe, a nose leaning towards black fruit, a consistent, fat palate, with an intense, lively finish: the profile of a wine to keep well." (Le Guide Hachette des Vins 2020)
Château Tour des Gendres - Les Gendres "Derrière le chai" 2015
4/5 (4 reviews)
16/20 RVF
"Fine nose, hint of cocoa, very precise. Elegant, pulpy mouthfeel, velvety tannin, dense body, hint of cocoa, leather, toast, lovely power on the finish, clean, toasty length, black fruit finish." (Le Guide des Meilleurs Vins de France 2019 - RVF) A plot selection, this cuvée highlights the typicality of Merlot planted on limestone terroir .
Château Tour des Gendres - Le Saussignac 2015 (liquoreux)
1*Étoile Hachette
"The originality of this cuvee lies in the fact that it was vinified in 400-liter terracotta amphorae . The color is straw yellow with golden highlights. The nose is beautifully complex, a fruit salad of peach, pear, apricot, lychee, citrus and a hint of honey. The attack is sweet, but the freshness is soon followed by exotic fruits and woody notes. The finish is pleasant, long and greedy". (Le Guide Hachette des Vins 2018)
Château Tour des Gendres - Anthologia 2014

16/20 Bettane & Desseauve
"Great complexity and aromatic depth for anthologia, citrus and confectionery aromas mingle with discreet notes of fine barrique, very fine Aquitaine style, long, saline, voluminous, with refreshing acidity perfectly integrated. One of Bergerac's most accomplished wines ". (Le Guide Bettane & Desseauve des Vins de France 2017)

This 100% Muscadelle is full-bodied, with aromas ranging from floral to sweet spice. Thanks to its long ageing on lees, Conti-ne Perigourdine proves to be a top-quality dry Bergerac. Tasty!

16,5/20 Gault & Millau
The signature of perfect maturity on a unique terroir, Cuvée Moulin des Dames comes from a parcel bordered by truffle oaks. Like its ageing, it's a wine that knows how to wait, rich and powerful, with aromas of violets, coffee and roasting, enlivened by notes of citrus zest and delicate oak... A very complete wine!
Château Tour des Gendres - La Vigne d'Albert 2014 (sans soufre)
3/5 (1 review)
In tribute to his winemaking grandfather, Guillaume de Conti has produced a cuvée full of humility and nostalgia. Produced from Albert's favorite plot, this Bergerac features old local grape varieties such as Fer and Périgord - blended with Merlot, Cabernet and Malbec. In no way rustic, this is a generous wine!
Château Tour des Gendres - Parcellaire Le Petit Bois 2011
4/5 (1 review)
The bouquet of Petit Bois 2011 is unrivalled. Floral, mint, candied black fruit and vanilla notes, all very characteristic of Cabernet Sauvignon, enliven this cuvée. A well-structured wine, with excellent density balanced by mineral freshness. Not to be missed!

17/20 Bettane & Desseauve

15/20 Gault & Millau
"A pure Merlot of great style, with a savory grain of tannin, which has relaxed after one more year, saline, vibrant, of great purity. The 2-hectare plot on limestone was planted by Luc de Conti's father." (Le Guide Bettane & Desseauve des Vins de France 2015). A wine characterized by an excellent balance between roundness, density and liveliness, supported by a complex aromatic palette (blackberry, morello cherry, discreet oak...).
