Owned by the Loron heirs, Château de Fleurie, located in the heart of the Fleurie appellation, belongs to the Barbet and Roclore families. It comprises 9 ha of vineyards, mainly located in Fleurie. Château de Fleurie, located in the village of Fleurie, tastefully blends history and art.
Located between Roche de Solutré in Mâconnais and Moulin à Vent in Beaujolais, Maison Jean Loron is one of the oldest and largest winegrowing estates in southern Burgundy. Its winegrowing origins date back to 1711. The story begins over 300 years ago, with Jean Loron on the steep Beaujolais hillsides in the heart of the village of Chénas. Unlike his parents, who, like many farmers of the time, cultivated a variety of crops - including vines - Jean decided to specialize in viticulture.
Over the years, Jean Loron's descendants have forged solid partnerships with prestigious names. Several events have marked our history. Finally, in 2016, the handover of management from Xavier Barbet, the 8th generation of Loron, to Philippe Bardet, a Beaujolais native and Burgundy connoisseur, marked a turning point for Maison Loron, which is now more than ever looking to the future.

"The Gamays from several parcels located near the château (lieux-dits Les Rochaux, Point du Jour, La Madone) were born on sandy and granitic terroirs. As usual at Loron, vinification was carried out in immersed bins, with a large proportion of whole grapes. The wine is fruity, fresh, full-bodied and fine, and perfectly balanced. Silky, delicate tannins ensure a crisp texture. The 2018 version was also awarded the Favorite." (Le Guide Hachette des Vins 2021) What a success!
