Château des Lumières
Château des Lumières, located in the heart of the Beaujolais, in the Morgon appellation, is today part of the great Burgundy house Louis Jadot , which also presides over the destiny of Château des Jacques. Five remarkable terroirs form part of this ensemble: Grand Clos de Rochegrès, Clos du Grand Carquelin, Clos de Champ de Cour, Clos de la Roche, Clos des Thorins. Louis Jadot's expertise and exacting standards are put to work for the most prestigious cru in Beaujolais.

For almost 10 years, Château des Lumières vinifications have been the work of Guillaume de Castelnau , who took over from the in-house oenologist Jacques Lardière, whose disciple he was. Respect for the vines, de-stemming of the Gamay grapes, long vatting times and ageing in new barrels are the basic principles of Château des Lumières. This beautiful interpretation of Gamay and its terroir are a credit to the Morgon appellation.

This Morgon is a delicious introduction to the world of Morgons produced on great climates by Maison Louis Jadot. A wine with aromas of nuts and red fruit flesh, very expressive, round tannins that will keep for several years. Don't miss it!

A cuvée from the granite and schist of the Py hill, which overlooks the village of Villié-Morgon. Beautiful aromas of nuts and red fruit flesh make this a delicate wine. The manganese contained in the Py granite, which is assimilated by the vines, gives it a structure that will keep for several years.

Morgon Roche Noire is a purist of its appellation, all finesse and opulence. A great Morgon! "A full-bodied, mineral wine, rich in expression, full of energy and tension. Not recommended for lovers of fruity sensations". (Le Grand Guide des Vins de France 2010 - Bettane & Desseauve)
