Domaine Cheveau
Domaine Cheveau is a fine family story. André, a forest ranger, and Marcelle set up as sharecroppers in Pouilly in the 1950s, while Michel joined his father on the estate in the 1970s.
Michel marries Jocelyne, daughter of Saint Amour winemakers. Together, they developed the Pouilly plot, the heart of the Pouilly-Fuissé appellation.
Nicolas breathed new life into the business in 1999, and with his wife Aurélie, who joined him in 2002, they developed bottled sales. All the dedication put into the vines and the ageing of the wines over the decades can now be revealed under its own name, and spread throughout France and abroad under the name Domaine Cheveau. Nicolas's brother, Julien, joins the team in 2009, bringing with him a wealth of experience in equipment management. Today, Domaine Cheveau represents 3 passionate winemakers, 15 hectares of Chardonnay (3rd generation), 5.5 hectares of Gamay (6th generation), 120,000 bottles and recognized expertise.

model of success

"Multi-Favorite with its Mâconnais wines, Domaine Cheveau also invites itself to the table of the greats in Saint-Amour with this cuvée, whose name evokes the 1685 family home in the village. On the vine, a blend of three parcels planted with 40-year-old vines. In the glass, an exciting wine, with an intense color, unreservedly open to red and black fruits, enhanced by delicate floral and woody nuances. This intensity is reflected in a full, rich, silky palate, underpinned by velvety tannins and a woodiness that blends perfectly with the fruit. The long, spicy, deep finish is convincing".
