Hachette
"Multi-Favorite with its Mâconnais wines, Domaine Cheveau also invites itself to the table of the greats in Saint-Amour with this cuvée, whose name evokes the 1685 family home in the village. On the vine, a blend of three parcels planted with 40-year-old vines. In the glass, an exciting wine, with an intense color, unreservedly open to red and black fruits, enhanced by delicate floral and woody nuances. This intensity is reflected in a full, rich, silky palate, underpinned by velvety tannins and a woodiness that blends perfectly with the fruit. The long, spicy, deep finish is convincing". Food and wine pairing
Beaujolais crus are wines of character and fruit. Saint Amour goes wonderfully well with simple, local cuisine, especially white meat dishes such as pot-au-feu, daube and grilled meats...
