Château les Jonqueyres
Château les Jonqueyres is located in Saint Paul de Blaye, in the Bordeaux region. Château les Jonqueyres was taken over by Pascal Montaut in 1977, and produces red wine under the Côtes de Blaye and Côtes de Bourg appellations. The estate comprises 14 hectares of vines, producing three crus: Château Les Jonqueyres, now in the Blaye appellation, If des Jonqueyres, the second wine in the Premières Côtes de Blaye appellation, and Le Clos Alphonse Dubreuil in the Côtes de Bourg appellation.

The heart of Château les Jonqueyres beats to the rhythm of tradition and a job well done. Everything here is meticulous: from cultivating the vines in the most natural way possible (no chemical weed-killers, no insecticides), to hand-picking the grapes, to vinification and ageing. The Château les Jonqueyres vines are planted on a very clayey soil, perfectly suited to the grape varieties, mainly Merlot.

A new vintage, the 2008 was rated: RVF 16.5/20, Bettane & Desseauve 15.5/20, Guide Hachette 1*(Very successful wine), Gerbelle & Maurange 15/20
The heart of Château Les Jonqueyres beats to the rhythm of tradition and a job well done. The result is a highly expressive wine, representative of the terroir of its appellation, with aromas of black fruit, ripe blackcurrant, redcurrant... Full-bodied on the palate, with good tannins. Freshness and harmony!
