"Rivals the finest Bordeaux wines!"
WATCH THE VIDEO!
"The wines are produced by an excellent team led by Nicolas Lesaint, a brilliant winemaker and artist. The bouquet reveals itself slowly and subtly, displaying inviting fruity and spicy nuances. It is on the palate that Reignac truly shines, once again demonstrating its exceptional quality. The tannins are compact, very fine, and reach their full expression on the finish. A very fine wine that will need to be cellared or decanted for at least an hour when young. A very fine wine." (Yves Beck 2021). Don't focus on its appellation, this Bordeaux Supérieur has already beaten the greatest wines in blind tastings!

Bettane & Desseauve
Rated estate (2023 guide) 3 stars (High-quality production, serving as a benchmark in its sector)
About the estate:
Yves and Stéphanie Vatelot belong to a generation of business leaders who became winemakers some twenty years ago. They have greatly enhanced the potential of this estate, both in the vineyard and in the cellars. Advised by Michel Rolland, they produce red and white wines of exemplary quality and consistency, ranking them among the leaders of the appellation.

Wine noted (guide 2023) 1*Star (Very successful wine)
About wine:
Built around good, pure, expressive fruit, this red wine is instantly appealing. We love its structure, ripe, well-integrated tannins, smoothness, and lingering aromas. What more could you ask for?

Rated estate (2023 guide) Selected (Please note that this guide is a ranking and, as such, all the estates listed in it, even those without stars, represent, in our opinion, the excellence of French production.)
About the estate:
Yves and Stéphanie Vatelot celebrated 30 years at the helm of Reignac this year. From the outset, the couple has invested heavily in positioning their Bordeaux wines at the highest level, following the advice of Michel Roland. With the arrival of director Nicolas Lesaint in 2009, cultivation methods have evolved to become more organic. This work is beginning to show in the wines, despite a still intrusive aging process. Extractions are more precise thanks to six small truncated cone vats that allow for parcel-by-parcel processing.

About wine:
Reignac 2019 has a lovely, well-defined nose of lively red berries, with a touch of rose petal and undergrowth. The palate is medium-bodied and classic in style, with fine tannins, lively acidity, black fruits sprinkled with charcoal and toasted bread on the finish. Excellent. 2024-2042

About wine:
The Grand Vin de Reignac 2019, which proved magnificent in barrel and now in bottle. It reveals a dense purple/ruby color, as well as an elegant and incredibly impressive bouquet of blackcurrant, smoked tobacco, damp earth, graphite, and pencil lead. Tasting like a great Médoc, it is medium-bodied to full-bodied, complex and elegant on the palate, with magnificent tannins and a superb finish. If you want to surprise your friends at a blind tasting (or if you simply want to drink a brilliant wine), don't miss this marvel, it's worth the detour. It will keep for 10 to 15 years. This is the best vintage I have tasted, and I may be conservative in my rating. 2022-2037

About wine:
The area dedicated to Grand Vin de Reignac covers 45 hectares. The soils are clay-gravel and clay-limestone. Planting density is 6,600 vines per hectare. In 2019, the yield barely reached 27 hectoliters per hectare. The wines are overseen by an excellent team led by Nicolas Lesaint, a brilliant winemaker and artist. The bouquet reveals itself slowly and subtly, displaying inviting fruity and spicy nuances. It is on the palate that Reignac truly shines, once again demonstrating its exceptional quality. The tannins are compact and very fine, reaching their full expression on the finish. A very fine wine that will need to be cellared or decanted for at least an hour when young. A very fine wine. 2024-2039
Vert de Vin
Wine rated (2022 guide) 93-94/100 (Jonathan Choukroun Chicheportiche)
About wine:
The nose is aromatic and offers a lovely fine grain, intensity, precision, and an elegant and attractive aromatic palette. There are notes of fleshy blackberry, ripe wild strawberry and, more subtly, ripe blackcurrant, combined with delicate hints of morello cherry, violet and lily, with slight touches of licorice, black tea, very subtle hints of salt, and a hint of pepper and fresh clove. The palate is fresh and mineral, offering richness, roundness, luscious fruit, a subtle acidity, attractive tannic structure, elegance, roundness, and lovely definition and richness. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of bright boysenberry, luscious blueberry and, more subtly, violet, combined with hints of morello cherry, licorice, chocolate, Bourbon vanilla bean, as well as subtle hints of black tea, nutmeg and a hint of roasted hazelnut. The tannins are elegant, structured, racy, and well-integrated. Good length. Lovely freshness, definition, and complexity.
