"A typical Haut-Médoc wine"
Peyredon-Lagravette 2016, a Haut-Médoc estate owned by Laurence and Stéphane Dupuch, has a crisp and subtly intense bouquet. There are seductive scents of gravel infused with black fruits. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannins, once again in a very classic and conservative style, perhaps flirting with austerity on the finish." (Wine Advocate 2017) - A Médoc classic classified as a Cru Bourgeois!

Rated estate Selected (An estate or winery that impressed us with one or more wines from its production, without us being able to give an overall opinion on the style of the entire range)
About the estate:
Located on the Grand Poujeaux hill, a superb Günz gravel terroir, this five-hectare estate was purchased around ten years ago by Stéphane Dupuch, who also owns Château Sainte-Marie, a flagship property in the Entre-Deux-Mers region. The vineyard is planted with a classic blend of 60% Merlot and 40% Cabernet Sauvignon. The wines produced are full-bodied, generous, balanced, and undoubtedly have real aging potential.

About the estate:
By purchasing this small Haut-Médoc vineyard (just over 4 hectares) located in Listrac and close to the renowned vineyards of Moulis (Grand Poujeaux, Chasse-Spleen, Maucaillou), the Dupuch family, whose stronghold is in Entre-deux-Mers (Château Sainte-Marie), realized their dream: to cross the Garonne and establish themselves on a beautiful gravel terroir.

About wine:
Peyredon-Lagravette 2016, a Haut-Médoc estate owned by Laurence and Stéphane Dupuch, has a crisp and discreetly intense bouquet. There are seductive aromas of gravel infused with black fruits. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannins, once again in a very classic and conservative style, perhaps verging on austerity on the finish. I think this will be avoided when bottling.

About wine:
This 4-hectare property is planted with old vines, some of which date back to the replanting after the great frost of 1956. The wine develops concentration due to low yields as well as fresh blackcurrant aromas typical of this vintage. Drink from 2022.

About wine:
On the nose, lots of coffee that seems to come from the oak, but there are also ripe cherries in the background. Chewy tannins, still firm and needing time, but the fruit is there in the middle and the finish is juicy. Wait. (JH)

Wine rated (2019 guide) 91/100
About wine:
This is a serious Haut-Médoc with black berries, nuts, and a slightly smoky character. Medium-bodied, firm, and mellow. A serious finish for the appellation. Best after 2021.

Wine rated (2018 guide) 88/100
About wine:
Garnet red with light purple highlights. Medium-intensity bouquet revealing black berries and candied fruit. Delicious and creamy on the palate. The wine is rich, full-bodied and well-balanced. Its tannins are well integrated and the acidity remains in the background. I am a little surprised by the palate's aptitude, while the nose struggles to reveal itself, but we must not lose sight of the fact that this wine is young and deserves a little aging. A wine that could certainly achieve a higher score. To be followed over time. 2022-2036
