Château La Fleur de Boüard
Château de Boüard enjoys an exceptional location for a high-quality vineyard, in the heart of the right bank, bordering the Pomerol plateau and close to Saint Emilion. On this exceptional terroir, Hubert de Boüard de Laforest, surrounded by his wife Corinne and their four children: Coralie, Stéphanie, Matthieu and Quentin, is offering this vineyard a new destiny, because they are convinced that it has all the qualities needed to make great wines.

Hubert de Boüard de Laforest, co-owner of Château Angelus, Premier Grand Cru Classé de Saint-Emilion, which he has managed and vinified for over 25 years, is a graduate oenologist from the University of Bordeaux. He also works as a consultant for prestigious vineyards in Bordeaux and abroad.

Over a period of twelve years, the vineyard has been restructured, a project in which technology combines with tradition to produce an exceptional cru à la Fleur de Boüard.

"The 2011 La Fleur de Boüard is rich, full-bodied, ripe and assertive. Big, mellow and delicious, it features extra-ripe Merlot harvested late and with low yields. In a relatively short space of time, Hubert de Bouard (owner of Château Angelus) has created a benchmark for the greatness of Lalande de Pomerol. When tasted after 10 to 15 years, the Bouard wines consistently prove their conviction that they sit on a great terroir, even if this appellation is humble compared to its close neighbors, Pomerol and Saint -Emilion."
