Château Boyd Cantenac
Château Boyd-Cantenac has belonged to the Guillemet family since 1932. Covering 17 hectares in the heart of the Margaux appellation, on thin, draining Quaternary siliceous gravel, which provides warm soils and deep vine roots, the vineyard produces 50,000 to 90,000 bottles a year, depending on the vintage.

Château Boyd-Cantenac We take advantage of the best techniques in viticulture and vinification. The vines are cultivated using sustainable methods, borrowing from organic viticulture and avoiding all chemical intervention. Harvesting (by hand), vinification and ageing are carried out plot by plot. The different batches are tasted several times.

The wines of Château Boyd-Cantenac seduce with their subtlety, elegance and suppleness.

"Lucien Guillemet's wines, and Boyd-Cantenac in particular, have an incomparable, highly distinctive style. Some will point to the woodiness, which stands out through notes of roasting, but it would be a pity to ignore the inviting and obvious fruity notes that enrich the bouquet! On the palate, the wine has a gourmet attack! Dense and charming. Its fine tannins reveal themselves slowly and harmonize with the acid structure. The latter lends ardor and freshness to the finish. A tasty, delicious wine that deserves a little cellaring. 2026-2044" (Yves Beck 2021) - Delivered in wooden cases for orders of 6 bottles of this wine (excluding Point Relais delivery).

Notes : Robert Parker 92/100, Bettane & Desseauve 17,5/20, RVF 17/20, Guide Hachette 3***(Vin exceptionnel) + Coup de Coeur
"The deep purple-hued 2009 presents a beautiful nose of blueberry liqueur, acacia flowers, licorice, graphite and wood smoke. A great Margaux, flowery and elegant, of exceptional purity, medium-bodied, admirably concentrated and rich. It doesn't lose the typicality of the wines we expect from this region, and tends to be significantly more elegant and less muscular than Saint-Julien, Pauillac and Saint-Estèphe further north. Given its tannic profile, Boyd-Cantenac 2009 requires 5 to 8 years of cellaring and should last for three decades". (Wine Advocate - Robert Parker) - Delivery in wooden case for orders delivered in France of 12 bottles of this wine.
