"Immediate pleasure!

"Château Poitevin 2015 has a pleasant, fragrant bouquet of black cherries, blueberries and a touch of incense. The wood is nicely integrated. The palate is medium-bodied with fine, very pure and feminine tannins, and a caressing finish on notes of blueberry and blackcurrant. A fine wine! This is by far the best from this Médoc estate. Guide Hachette des vins

Guide Hachette des vins

Wine rated (2019 guide) 1*Star (Very successful wine)

About the wine:

This beautiful 2015, with its deep ruby-red color, finds a beautiful harmony between bouquet and palate. The fine vanilla, fruit and spice notes of the former combine with the ample, fat and powerful character of the latter to produce a seductive, well-constituted whole. 2021-2025

Rated wine (2018 guide) 91/100

About the wine:

Poitevin 2015 is a blend of 55% Merlot, 40% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Petit Verdot. It has a bright, lively bouquet with aromas of blackberry, graphite and cedar, good vigor and great concentration. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins, fine acidity, plenty of harmony and a balanced, elegant, first-rate finish. Excellent. 2020-2028

About the wine:

Soft and round with plum and berry character, medium-bodied tannins and a juicy finish. Still fresh. Delicious now.

Vert de Vin

Vert de Vin

Rated wine (2018 guide) 89-90/100 (Jonathan Choukroun Chicheportiche)

About the wine:

The nose is fruity, delicately tight and offers a fine generosity (in the background). Notes of blackcurrant, blackberry and fine ripe/crushed red berries are combined with a hint of ripe/crushed wild strawberry, as well as fine hints of flowers, terroir (limestone) and spice. The palate is fruity, beautifully gourmand, elegant, suave and offers precision as well as fatness. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of crushed blackcurrant, crushed strawberry and, more lightly, raspberry, combined with fine touches of caramelization, woodiness, chocolate, a subtle hint of cardamom and an imperceptible hint of tea (in the background). Well-balanced tannins. Good length.

What you look for in a Medoc: fruit supported by a lovely structure, with woody notes among the black fruit. Good value for money.
