"Instant gratification!"

"The 2015 Château Poitevin has a pleasant, fragrant bouquet of black cherries, blueberries, and a hint of incense. The wood is nicely integrated. The palate is medium-bodied with fine, very pure, feminine tannins and a caressing finish with notes of blueberries and blackcurrants. A good wine! It is by far the best from this Médoc estate. Hachette Wine Guide

Guide Hachette des vins

Wine noted (guide 2019) 1*Star (Very successful wine)

About wine:

This beautiful 2015, with its deep ruby red color, strikes a lovely balance between the bouquet and the palate. The delicate vanilla, fruity, and spicy notes of the former combine with the full-bodied, rich, and powerful character of the latter to create a seductive and well-structured whole. 2021-2025

About wine:

Soft and round with plum and berry character, medium-bodied tannins, and a juicy finish. Still fresh. Delicious now.

Wine Green

Vert de Vin

Wine rated (2018 guide) 89-90/100 (Jonathan Choukroun Chicheportiche)

About wine:

The nose is fruity, finely tight and offers a subtle generosity (in the background). There are notes of blackcurrant, blackberry and subtle notes of ripe/crushed red berries combined with a hint of ripe/crushed wild strawberry, as well as subtle hints of flowers, terroir (limestone) and spices. The palate is fruity, delightfully indulgent, elegant, smooth and offers precision and richness. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of crushed blackcurrant, crushed strawberry and, more subtly, raspberry, combined with delicate hints of caramelization, wood, chocolate, a subtle hint of cardamom and an imperceptible hint of tea (in the background). The tannins are well-integrated. Good length.

What we look for in a Médoc: fruit supported by a nice structure, with woody notes among the black fruits. Good value for money.
