Tour Haut-Caussan Castle
Château Tour Haut-Caussan is a family estate now run by Véronique Courrian, who oversees sales, and her brother Fabien Courrian, who manages the vineyard and winery. The Courrian family has lived in Blaignan-Médoc since 1634 and purchased the estate in 1877. It was Philippe Courrian, Véronique and Fabien's father, who raised the château to the very top ranks of the Crus Bourgeois du Médoc.

The Château Tour Haut-Caussan vineyard covers 17 hectares, spread over two high-quality areas: a beautiful limestone hill in Blaignan and gravelly soils in Potensac. The grape varieties are equally divided between Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. The vines are cultivated using traditional methods, with great care and without the use of chemical fertilizers, and are harvested by hand. Rigorous and meticulous, the vinification and aging processes are carried out in the traditional manner in oak barrels (25% new, with the rest divided between one-year, two-year, and three-year-old barrels).

The wines of Château Tour Haut-Caussan are excellent accompaniments to food, avoiding any excessive power. They are tender and have good aging potential.
