Château Violette
The origin of Château Violette dates back to the very beginning of the 20th century. Monsieur Bégu, a retired policeman, acquired a few hectares of hybrid vines at auction. His son, Pierre Fernand, took over in the 50s, replanting the entire vineyard in the following decade with Merlot and Cabernet-Sauvignon grapes. Joëlle and Monique, his two daughters, take up the torch of Château Violette in 2002. The name Violette comes from Joëlle's childhood memories of picking violets between the rows of vines in spring.

The vineyards are cultivated in the traditional way, with shallow ploughing and no shallow ploughing and no anti-botrytis treatment.
Château Violette, located in the Graves Garonnaises region and also on a clay-limestone terroir, produces well-balanced, full-bodied, fruity, spicy-wooded reds in the Moulis appellation in the Médoc.

"THE bargain in Moulis!

Château Violette is THE bargain in Moulis! A supple, round wine, accessible despite its character. It offers a broad aromatic palette of black fruits, blackcurrants, blueberries, and hints of wood and spice. This Gem is ideal for an aperitif with charcuterie and cheese, or a family dish such as roast guinea fowl.
