" Beautiful olfactory expression that underlines and highlights Pauillac with subtlety. Nuances of graphite, dark berries and liquorice. Dense character on the palate. The wine is perfectly supported by compact, precise and fine tannins. This 2017 has body, power and sapidity, ideally supported by the freshness of the acid structure. A seductive, convincing and persistent wine". (Yves Beck 2021)

Expert opinion
Bettane & Desseauve
Domain rated (2022 guide) 3*Stars (High-quality production, a benchmark in its sector)
About the domain :
A new, ultra-modern vat room, luxurious and efficient, demonstrates the ambitions of new owner Jacky Lorenzetti. He clearly wants to produce one of the finest wines in his appellation, and has acquired very high-quality terroirs, close to Mouton-Rothschild, which should help him in his ambition. The technically brilliant wines are improving with each new vintage.

About the domain :
Françoise and Jacky Lorenzetti sold their real estate agency network (Foncia) and bought this château in 2009 from the Jugla family. They undertook major work in the vineyard and cellar (construction of a new winery by Jean-Michel Wilmotte) to restore the reputation of this cru, founded in 1810, whose vineyards now cover some 50 ha following the acquisition of new plots.

Domaine rated (2022 guide) 1*Star (Stars in the making or quality winegrowers with a good level of production, you won't be disappointed when you taste the wines from these estates)
About the wine:
For the past 10 years, each vintage has enabled the cru to take another step up the ladder. Don't overlook this 2017, with a level of refinement never before achieved by Pédesclaux. A dense, aristocratic wine.
About the domain :
It's undoubtedly one of the most spectacular developments in Bordeaux in recent years. Pédesclaux, acquired by Jacky Lorenzetti in 2009, has undergone a spectacular, state-of-the-art facelift, from vineyard to cellar. Under the leadership of Vincent Bache-Gabrielsen, the wines have progressed steadily, vintage after vintage, little by little. They are now more than worthy of their classification and, above all, have established themselves as remarkable value for money.

Plenty of plum and cherry aromas with mineral nuances. Medium body. Tight and juicy on the palate. Round, firm tannins, but really spicy and savory. Cloves and nutmeg. Notes of new oak. Best after 2022.

Vert de Vin
Wine rated (2020 guide) 94/100 (Jonathan Choukroun Chicheportiche)
About the wine:
The nose is elegant and fine, with a racy minerality. Notes of blackberry, ripe strawberry and, more lightly, violet are combined with touches of blueberry/blue berries and discreet hints of camphor and caramelization. Fruity, fresh and balanced on the palate, with minerality, good definition and smoothness. On the palate, notes of fleshy raspberry, fleshy cherry and, more lightly, fleshy blueberry are combined with fine touches of violet, blueberry and discreet hints of licorice stick, cardamom and vanilla. Good length. Elegant tannins.
