Brown Castle
Château Brown, founded in the 12th century, is owned by Bernard Barthe. The estate is managed by Jean-Christophe Mau, whose family shares management with the Dutch Dirkzwager family. Jean-Christophe Mau has enlisted the services of Stéphane Derenoncourt as a consultant for winemaking.

Château Brown's vast 50-hectare vineyard stretches across the communes of Gradignan, Villenave-d'Ornon, and Léognan, on the oldest terroir in the Bordeaux wine region, the Graves du Nord. The vines at Château Brown are tended with the utmost care and using the best techniques, and the grapes are harvested by hand, in keeping with the great Bordeaux tradition. Similarly, meticulous attention is paid to the winemaking and aging processes, which are guarantees of quality.

Château Brown wines have long been acclaimed for their quality, and today have reached a level of excellence worthy of the greatest wines.
