Chateau Brown
Château Brown, which dates back to the 12th century, is owned by Bernard Barthe. The estate is run by Jean-Christophe Mau, whose family shares management with the Dutch Dirkzwager family. He has enlisted the services of Stéphane Derenoncourt to advise on vinification.

Château Brown extends its vast fifty-hectare vineyard over the communes of Gradignan, Villenave-d'Ornon and Léognan, in the oldest terroir of the Bordeaux wine region, the Northern Graves. The best care and techniques are applied to Château Brown's vines, and the harvest is carried out by hand, in the great Bordeaux tradition. Likewise, meticulous attention is paid to vinification and ageing, all of which guarantee quality.

Château Brown wines have long been acclaimed for their quality, having now reached a level of excellence worthy of the greatest.

"A gourmet success!

"Only 19 hl/ha were harvested after hail and mildew, but Château Brown did an excellent job with what it had. There's a little heat on the attack, but the concentrated fruit and silky texture absorb it. Notes of dark chocolate and licorice come through on the mid-palate. An exuberant wine, of good quality, with intensity and concentration, and simply extremely seductive. "Lovely rich and exuberant nose, offering particularly ripe and expressive fruit, vanilla and mineral notes, generous, full and deep palate, with lots of fat and flavor, lingering aromas and vivacity. In the rich, flattering style". (Le Guide Bettane & Desseauve des Vins de France 2016) Delivery in wooden case for orders delivered in France of 6 bottles of this wine.

Like the great rosés of Provence, this Bordeaux rosé is the result of direct pressing of Left Bank grape varieties. A rarity in Bordeaux, it is vinified in the same way as the region's whites: 4 months in barrel to give this extraordinary rosé its fullness and deliciousness. A table rosé to accompany a spicy Mediterranean dish.
